Installation Requirements and Setup
Install Node.js and NPM
Download and install the latest version of Node.js from the official website ( Node.js).
Install Playwright
- Once Node.js and npm are installed, open Command Prompt (CMD) and run:
npx playwright install
- This command installs Playwright along with the required browsers.
Install Allure Commandline (for report generation)
To generate Allure reports, install the Allure command-line tool globally:
The above installations (Node.js, Playwright, and Allure) need to be done only once globally, not every time you execute the tests.
Running the Tests
After your test script is created:
- Install dependencies (only once per project/script): npm install
- Execute the test script (every time you run it):npm run test
