Installation Steps for installing Electron Scraper
Electron Scraper is an in-house scraper used to scrape UI elements and fetch their XPath (locator) information for mobile apps on Android and iOS devices. Make sure you have logged in to the algoQA platform to access the Electron Scraper.
Installing Electron Scraper
Perform the following:
Download the latest Electron Scraper
Download the latest Electron Scraper from the Downloads link.
Click Yes to allow the app to make changes to your device.
A User Account Control prompt appears. Click Yes to proceed with the installation.
In the Welcome to algoScraper Setup Wizard, click Next.
The setup wizard welcome screen is displayed. Click Next to continue.
Select the appropriate folder to install the app.
If you wish to install in a different directory, then click Browse to update the path.
The Progress window appears, displaying the installation progress.
Wait for the installation to complete before proceeding.
Click Finish to complete the installation process.
The installation is now complete and the Electron Scraper is ready to use.
Navigate to the installation folder to add the app as a desktop shortcut icon.
Right-click the app executable and select Create Shortcut to place it on your desktop.
Launch the app from the Desktop icon to capture UI elements on an Android or iOS device.
The Electron Scraper opens, allowing you to start scraping UI elements from your connected mobile device.
