Scroll Down a Page Action

Scrolling down a page action is used to move the viewable area of a webpage downward, revealing content that was previously out of view. This action is commonly used in web browsers and applications to navigate through long pages or to access additional content that is located beyond the current viewport.

Performing the Scroll Down Action

You can perform the scroll down action using keyboard buttons, such as:

  • Using the down arrow key on the keyboard.
  • Pressing the Page Down key on the keyboard scrolls the page down by a full screen.

Example scenario

Navigating to SIM Cards in an online shopping site

  1. Accessing the Application: Ensure that you have access to the application.
  2. Navigating to the SIM Cards section:
    1. Click on the "Mobiles" section on the online shopping site in India.
    2. Within the mobile phones section, locate and click on SIM Cards.
  3. Scrolling to the Desired Item: Add the 'down arrow--3' parameter in 'Add to scroll' UI element value to scroll down the webpage until you find "Tethering T-Mobile 5G Network 1 Month Prepaid Unlimited Local."

Adding a Parameter

While adding nodes in the node configuration process, you can add parameters.

If you have already created the project, navigate to the Projects and select the appropriate project. Click on the required node and it will navigate to Test Design, you can view associated feature and the UI element. In this window, you can add the parameters and click Save.

Similarly, you can add parameters while using the following keys in the keyboard:

  • page down key, such as page down --2.
  • page up key, such as page up--2
  • up arrow key, such as up arrow--2

If you are at the end of the page and wish to move up, then you can provide parameter as -2. You can also select textbox as your UI element action type.
